Students will learn the proper playing technique for clarinet. They will be able to read simple melodies and play them using the proper hand position and finger placement. Students will posses the skills to self-evaluate and correct their own errors, as well as find the benefits of practicing a new skill. Students will also leave this course with the skills to create their own songs using quarter notes, quarter rests, half notes, half rests, whole notes, whole rests, and the five notes they have learned.
Students are expected to practice their packets at least 15 - 20 minutes per day between sessions to improve their skills.
