Headed to the beach? In this one-time course, students will learn about citizen science with an engaging lesson about nurdles. By the end of the course, students will be ready to participate in Nurdle Patrol!
Class Experience
In this one-time class, learners will be introduced to the concept of citizen science by exploring new facts about nurdles! Nurdles are plastic pellets that are washing up on beaches. The goal of Nurdle Patrol is to find and map the source of these pellets. By the end of the course, students will be ready to participate in a citizen science study about nurdles by simply counting pellets and be ready to share their new knowledge with their friends and family as they visit the beaches this summer!
Students will be introduced to the concept of citizen science through nurdles!
