Class Experience

US Grade 5 - 8
I am a licensed elementary educator with multi-grade level experience in math. Elementary mathematics is the crucial foundation necessary to build upon for future endeavors in education; and once that foundation is secure and stable, the stars are the limit.
I will utilize paper materials (PDF will be delivered to you ahead of time), stories, paper manipulatives, video clips, books and more to take the student on a math adventure with King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table where we will learn about circumference, radius and diameter of a circle and how those terms interconnect with one another. Prior knowledge of multiplying fractions is helpful for the course, though it is not necessary. I would be happy to answer any of your questions and/or concerns; please feel free to message me. I look forward to helping you and your child succeed!

Learning Goals

The students will learn the definitions of circumference, diameter and radius of a circle, as well as, how to find the circumference and diameter of a circle.

Hello from Texas! Although I am currently residing in Texas, we move quite often and that has allowed me to have many different types of career experiences. I have tutored privately and through well-known organizations; taught in the public school classroom setting with a self-contained classroom; substituted and interned in private school classroom settings; instructed at the community college level; assisted with museum operations; and homeschooled my three munchkins. I have worked with early education all the way up to the community college level.
