Circle Time With American Sign Language (ASL) for Preschoolers Age 3 -5 We will learn about 20 signs each week from each theme week listed below. We will first learn how to sign the word, put it into a song, and play a game to help the children remember how the signs fit together. I will interact with your children during the class using visuals, demonstrations, and music. We will learn to sign different stories. My teaching style is first showing and explaining how your hand will make the signs. I'm excited to see you in class! Each week will review and current to learn new words. Each week our class format will be! Welcome Song Review Signs from the week before We will be signed Calendar Time and Weather Learn new words Good Bye Song After we finish that, each week, we will have different themes and learn to sing, sing, and dance. Week 1 Foods (will be able to sign about 15 - 20 food signs) (We will learn how to sign many fun signs) Week 2 - Farm Animals (learn about 20 words) Week 3 - Family and Answer/Manner (Learn about 20- 30 words) Week 4 - Animals and Colors (We will learn to Sign Brown Bear) (Learn about 20 words) Week 5 - Zoo Animals Week 6 - Emotion and Action words (Learn about 20 words) Week 7 - Clothes and Weather words (Learn about 20-30 words) Week 8 - Review We will learn from watching and trying to sign the words and songs, remember to sign with vocals, and play to sign stories! I'm excited to meet you in class soon!

I have been teaching American Sign Language for over 15 years. I worked in the Deaf community for ten years. I teach a music and movement program in my local area and teach American Signs at different Preschools and private kindergartens in my local area. We use signs to communicate with my daughter, who is Hard of Hearing and is an Outschool teacher. My teaching style is to make learning fun and keep learning.
