Circle Time Joy - Once Per Week (Multi-Day: Part 1) This Multi-Day, Circle Time Joy class for preschool ages will meet one time per week, for twenty-five minutes each class, for 4 weeks. We will learn about letters of the alphabet, the numbers, and other concepts typically covered in a Morning Meeting type of class. In this fun-filled Circle Time class, I will introduce a variety of early academic concepts throughout the class such as the days of the week, the weather, upper and lower case...
Students will improve their understanding of the days of the week and the current month. They will be able to recognize a letter (upper and lower case), a number, a shape, and/or a color or pattern. They will understand the basic ideas about weather and seasons.
There is no homework for this class.
There are usually no materials required for this class. On some occasions, learners will be encouraged to bring an item such as a printed file or an item for Show and Tell. In such cases, this request will be posted in the classroom the day before class to allow time for preparation.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will need to have the attention span and ability to stay engaged for the full 25 minutes of class. Younger students may need prompting from a grownup to encourage them to stay engaged. My goal is to use activities and songs that will take care of that, but each child is unique in his or her interests.
