In this ongoing Pre-K Special Education class, students will learn letters, numbers, shapes, and colors through fingerplays, chants, rhymes, and songs from a certified special education teacher (MEd, BA).

WELCOME: Hi Friends! I am so happy to have you join us! Students will grasp new concepts (letters, numbers, shapes, and colors) by participating in fingerplays, songs, chants, and rhymes. Using the GELDS Standards, we will focus on these four areas: physical, social-emotional, communication, and cognitive. The class size is small to ensure each student needs are met. Each lesson will allow students to grow in different areas such as communication, fine motor, and academics. CLASSROOM TEACHER: *Mrs. Spence has a Bachelor's Degree in Human Learning Development, a Minor in Child Development, and a Master's Degree in Special Education. *Has over 10 years of teaching experience. *This class is great for students who may need additional support and have social, sensory, and cognitive challenges. SCHEDULE: **We will meet for circle time every Saturday for 15 mins. Students will learn a new letter, number, shape, and color every Saturday. Every Sunday, we will review and have show & tell to reinforce what we learned the day before. CIRCLE TIME ROUTINE: Opening Circle: Welcome (Getting to Know Each Other) How are you feeling today? Supply List
No materials are needed for this class at this time. The only supplies needed will be when completing art activities for homework and show & tell. For example, if we are focusing on the letter Aa you will provide something you have found around your home that starts with the letter Aa.
