In my Handmade Gifts Series, I give students an opportunity to create handmade gifts for those special to them. Gifts can mean so much when love and care are put into them, and children feel super proud of their efforts. It also teaches the value of the experience in gift giving! In this class, we will create a cinnamon dough, roll it out, and use cutters and straws to create hanging ornaments. Please note, these take a few days to dry!! They smell great and the scent can last up to a year. (Refresh after that with cinnamon oil.) These make great Christmas ornaments, gift packaging details, and air fresheners for the home, car, and locker!

Students will learn the entire process for creating cinnamon scented hanging ornaments/air fresheners.

Be aware of food allergies.
Supply List
There will be a supply list in the welcome post of the classroom, but an idea of what students will need include: applesauce and lots of cinnamon for the ornaments, newspaper, and ribbon or twine.
