The students will listen to the story of "Cinderella" and then we will make our very own magic fairy wand. We will stop throughout the story to discuss questions and predict what will happen in the story. The teacher will lead the students step-by-step through the craft. Students will get to: * Enjoy a fun story * Practice good listening skills * Interact with me and other kids throughout story by answering questions about the story * Have fun making a magic fairy wand * Show off their finished craft to their friends * Make new friends
Learning Goals
Students will get to practice their listening skills and practice comprehension of a story. They will also get work on taking turns in answering questions. Students will practice their social skills as they communicate with the teacher and other students. Students will also practice following directions as they do a craft together with their classmates.

Parental Guidance
Students will need to use scissors for this craft so it will be helpful for a parent to be nearby to help students if necessary.
Supply List
For this class, learners will need: 18" wooden dowel Glitter thick cardstock paper in learner's preferred color 1/4" wide ribbon in two colors to complement glitter cardstock Scissors Tape Star template (will be posted in classroom) (If you cannot find glitter cardstock paper, you can just do a colored cardstock paper and have small stickers to decorate the star.)
