Class Experience
Use code BLAMEAPRCINDER4 for 20% off through the end of April In this class, students will be learning a dance inspired by the ballet Cinderella and then at the end of the session, we will perform for our families. Each week, we will start with warm-up exercises that include moving like animals and some stretches. Then, we will learn/review the choreography of the week. During our last week, parents will be invited to watch their student perform in costume (if students wish to dress up)....
I have been dancing since I was three, and I have taken ballet the entire time. I've also helped teach dance classes for 1 and a half years. I have been trained in a pre-professional program that stresses technique and safety. I know the correct way to perform and teach exercises to ensure the least risk possible.
Students are expected to practice their dance, but they do not need to have it memorized
Water bottle Space to move around (at least 4x4 foot square) Appropriate footwear (barefoot, socks, or ballet shoes) Any clothing your student feels comfortable in - can also be a princess dress! Optional costume for our performance
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
20 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Because this is a fitness class, students will need enough room to move around without injuring themselves. We will always do a warm-up and stretch before beginning, but it's important to be aware that inadequate stretching can lead to injuries. It is advisable for dancers to be barefoot to avoid slipping, and they may need a water bottle to stay hydrated. Note: if your student needs any accommodations for physical or mental needs, I am able and willing to accommodate and modify if I can! Just let me know your needs beforehand. Important: parents are allowed to watch their student dance during our performance, but per Outschool policy, please remain off camera.
