Let’s learn Christmas vocabulary in Italian! What will be taught? In this one time project based language class, students will learn fun holiday words in Italian through games and interactive activities. Learning Italian in class can be so much fun, and this class is a great way for your learner to enjoy language learning. Students will learn the words for: Santa Clause, Reindeer, Snow, Merry Christmas, Gift, Lights. Students will have fun learning these new words by practicing their use in short sentences. No prior knowledge of Italian is needed for this class. It is a complete beginner class so I will be speaking in Italian and repeating what I say in English. In my class all learners will get a chance to talk multiple times and I always make my classroom a fun and inclusive space to learn. Class Structure? I spend the first few minutes of class greeting students and we practice saying out names in Italian. We then start learning the new words. Students will be able to practice the new words with games and have time to practice pronunciation with me. My teaching style is very interactive and engaging. Students will each get multiple turns to practice their new words by themselves and as a group. About me: I am an Italian teacher from Florence, Italy currently based in the United States. I grew up in a bilingual household, which fueled my passion for teaching languages to children. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Communication Science from the University of Pisa, where I also obtained my Master's Degree in Marketing. While studying in Italy, I also worked in an elementary school and for a private company as an English and Italian teacher. I have over four years of teaching experience with students both in-person and online. Why take this class? The aim of this class is to learn a new language in a relaxed and playful environment. I am an Italian native speaker and I am so excited to teach your child my language. My classes are focused on learning while having fun. I want your child to learn to love the Italian language and my main goal is to create a positive learning experience. I hope to see your child in class! My teaching style is fun, engaging and personal. I want to get to know my students and I want their class time with me to be a complete learning experience that focuses on hands-on learning.
So why study languages? Why study Italian or English? Language development is fundamental for young learners. Foreign language studies also peak curiosity in learners, both younger and older. Italian is a useful language nowadays, not just for the language but also to improve logic, language arts, and it can serve as a starting point for other Latin languages. English is a necessary language today for life and for work. I hope to bring my passion for this beautiful language into your child's life.
I offer a variety of courses. I love Outschool, because I can teach my language, but also my passions, such as marketing, social studies, and more! I hope to see your learner in my classroom soon.
