Never played the piano but love all things Christmas? Join us as we celebrate the holiday season by making some Christmas songs and playing some holiday-themed music games. ⭐New to Outschool? Then I will teach everyone how to play a Christmas tune, step by step, using my keyboard camera and finger number sheet music. If there's still time, we'll play a holiday-themed music game. ** Make sure you also check the box for ECHO CANCELLATION.
Parents must stay off camera as much as possible but will need to assist as necessary during class time to help their young learner find the correct keys, clap along to the rhythm, and control the mute button in Zoom. Parents will also be expected to assist with at home practice throughout the week.
Absolutely NO EATING during class. Learners will need the constant use of both of their hands as well as to engage with their full attention. Learners who are eating on camera may be asked to leave.
I will screenshare games I have made in Google Drive, Kahoot, Boom learning and Scratch to review music theory concepts if we have time in class.
Practice between classes is highly recommended. Access to a keyboard/piano and view of the screen while playing is required to participate during class time. Please contact me if you are unsure if this is the right level class for your learner.
All attendees will receive my sheet music arrangements upon enrollment.
Pre-Requisites
Students who have taken NO MUSIC LESSONS are invited to this course! We'll be starting at the very beginning.
