In this class, learners will create holiday art by making a Christmas tree forest on a dark piece of construction paper. We will experiment with light and dark, drawing, colors, and blending. We will begin by sketching the basic shapes on our paper. We will use the chalk to fill in shape and color. We will add colorful ornaments and tree toppers. We will create a snowy ground. Lastly, we will decorate the sky with stars or snowflakes. Please note that this class is similar to my soft pastel class, but created with a less messy medium for a younger crowd. If your learner would like to experiment with another medium, please look for my other class: Christmas Tree Art With Soft Pastels.
