In this one time class, students will search Christmas Town to find missing toys, then work together to solve 4th and 5th grade word problems to complete the riddle and gather the toys up in time for Santa to fly on his rounds.
Class experience
This one time Christmas themed class will challenge students to solve a variety of math problems, using an escape room format. Students will work together to find the toys hidden around Christmas Town in order to solve the math questions and decode the magic word. They must find all of the toys and decode the word in 30 minutes. Math problems are at fourth and fifth grade level and involve a variety of concepts, including all four operations with and without decimals, data, elapsed time,...
