During this fun, and easy craft class, each day students will hear a holiday-themed story, and on each day there will be a craft or activity, and a game. I will cover the stories Mr. Edwards Meets Santa Claus by Lara Ingalls Wilder, Christmas every Day by William Dean Howells, How The Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss, 'Twas The Night Before Christmas by Clement Clarke Moore, and The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg. After the story will come a game, then a craft. I will demonstrate and/or explain the craft as we go. I am an upbeat and patient teacher. Learners will have many chances to interact through questions after the story, and sometimes during, and then again as we play the game and work on our crafts. There is no required experience, except to listen to a story and follow craft instructions. Here is what the week will look like: Class1: Story: Mr. Edwards Meet Santa Claus ( A cowboy tells a story about meeting Santa in the old west). Game: Holiday BINGO, Craft: Decorating store-bought sugar cookies. Class 2: Story: Christmas Every Day (A little girl realizes why it would not be practical to have Christmas every day.) Game: Guess the holiday drawing, Craft: Making Christmas Cards Class 3 Story: How The Grinch Stole Christmas, Game: Guess the holiday word Craft: making slime Class 4: Story/Poem 'Twas The Night Before Christmas, Game: Spot the Differences in the Pictures Craft: Dry (No Water) Cookie Jar Snow Globe Class 5: .Story: The Polar Express, Game: One or two of the games we have played during the week.
