Do you want to meet the real Santa? Santa is making a special trip from the North Pole just to meet you! Join Teacher Amy for the reading of a special Christmas story followed by a visit with Santa! The first 10 minutes of class will consist of the reading of the classic Christmas story 'Twas the Night Before Christmas'. After the reading of the story, Santa will make a special appearance and answer all of your questions! Celebrate this magical time of year with us! Come prepared to meet Santa and tell him your Christmas wishes! Feel free to dress up in your favorite festive wear! This is an interactive class, so students need to be prepared to participate using questions and comments *Santa is pictured in the class photo.

Hello! My name is Amy and I have been a teacher for 20 years! I have taught early childhood and elementary grade levels, ESL students, college students, and adults through various institutions!
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I also have a Master of Science degree in Educational and Instructional Technology. In addition, I am certified to teach Reading in grades K-8 and all Middle School subjects. I have also obtained my TESOL endorsement.
My philosophy of teaching combines a few different educational theories. I am a strong believer of constructivist and brain-based learning and incorporate both into my instruction. I want to make learning interesting, engaging, fun, and challenging so that students are excited to learn and are more engaged in their learning. I incorporate differentiated instruction and multiple methods of instruction to meet the diverse needs of the students. I also strive to create a learning environment that supports social emotional learning and competency. I use a variety of technological sources in many of my classes, including PowerPoint, YouTube, and other digital resources. I love to incorporate technology, music, and a variety of other teaching methods to help reach all learners!
I reside in Arizona, USA with my husband, 4 children, 3 dogs, and 2 guinea pigs! Reading is my favorite hobby and I love animals. My favorite place in the world is the beach and I love to swim!
I teach reading classes, book clubs, science classes, and other fun learning classes. I offer a wide variety of classes on Outschool. I will work hard to make sure your child enjoys my classes!
