Celebrate Christmas in this fun STEM way. Make Christmas themed games to play with friends and see who beats the highest score. Students will learn the basics of coding and game development in this class, using MIT's block cased coding platform Scratch 3.0 These games can be combined to make levels for a big game or else made into separate 3 games. Day 1: Gift Giver - Students will learn how to make a simple catch game where Santa gets to fly and distribute the gifts. Day 2 and 3 : Reindeer Dash - Students will make a game where reindeer dashes through the snow and picks up gifts for Santa to distribute Day 4 and 5 : Santa Run Game - Students will learn how to create a scrolling platform and learn to code for a Santa's actions. Learners must have a a free signup on Scratch 3.0 to be able to make these games. Teacher can also help take student requests for fun games that they would like to create on Christmas theme.
