Come and learn fun, well known Christmas songs of your personal choice that you can play for years to come at your violin level.   This class is designed for students ages 8-18, it's flexible, you can take as many classes as you want or cancel at any time.  

It would be helpful for you to know how to:

1. Play in 1st position
2. Use the bow correctly 
3. Read notes on D and A strings 

COURSE CONTENT AND TOPICS COVERED:

a) Review violin hold and bow hold
b) Rest position and playing position
c) Review four major strings EADG 
d) Review bow arm technique 
e) Play with bow in different rhythms 
f) Review scales + learn new ones 
g) Play Christmas songs of personal choice 

The class always starts with a fun warm-up practicing important topics all depending on learner's needs to help prepare him/her for their Christmas song.   Throughout the use of my easy-read slides, games and videos I make the learning process interesting and engaging for a learner, promoting constant communication, excitement and curiosity.  Relaxing and joyful learning environment is important to me.  Learner will be provided with their music of personal choice at all times.  By the end of the class and after some home practice, learner will fully be able to read and perform their Christmas song in confidence and success. 

MATERIALS REQUIRED 

a) Violin of proper size with finger markings 
b) Rosin for the bow
c) Violin Tuner (battery or as a free APP)
