In this one-time class, students will practice differentiating two common forms of figurative language: similes and metaphors. We will also discuss the meaning of the similes and metaphors. At the beginning of class we will read the definition and an example of both, simile and metaphor. Students will take turns reading the sentence and identifying if it is a simile or metaphor.
