I will help students understand, respond to, and learn from fiction text by teaching them comprehension strategies and tools using high quality children's literature that learners will enjoy. This class is designed to use high quality read alouds and activities to promote reading comprehension for first and second graders using fun and engaging children's books.
I completed a master’s degree plus 30. I am certified in elementary education, early childhood education, special education, learning disabilities and Primary Montessori. I have the literacy endorsement and I have also been the Literacy Teacher of the Year and Teacher of the Year. I am trained in Project Read. This is my 24th year of teaching.
