Young children’s attention spans are short, and their bodies need to move. I provide music and movement activities because research shows that exposure to music and movement can improve children’s learning. The benefits to music and movement include: building confidence, expressing emotions, developing social & motor skills, exploring cause & effect, improving health, exercise, better memory, creativity & imagination, reinforcing language concepts, learning new words & concepts, awareness of body positions, improving balance & coordination, reducing stress, and refining listening skills. Music can also help children develop cognitive skills, including counting, patterning and sequencing, receptive language, phonemic awareness, and more. We start each session off with a Hello/Hi and Welcome song. We will then quickly do a few stretches to warm our muscles up. Then, we will rotate through multiple different types of Christmas themed songs and movements. The child will need to wear comfortable clothing, have an open space with room to wiggle, and a water bottle close by. A couple of examples of the songs we will move to: North Pole Freeze Dance, Reindeer Pokey, Shake them Santa Clause Bones, Christmas Counting songs, AND MANY MORE! If you have any type of bells around the house, please have them close by if the student wants to shake them during a couple of the songs. We will end our time waving and singing goodbye to our friends until we meet again! * If your child has a favorite children's song that he/she loves to dance to, feel free to send it to me! I will do my best to include during our time together.

Teacher expertise and credentials
👋🏼 Hello! I'm Carrie Wright, also known as Ms. Carrie.
I possess a deep passion for Early Childhood Education (ECE), dedicating over 17 years to working and studying in this field. ECE encompasses the education of children from birth to eight years old.
My Top Five Teacher Qualities:
1️⃣ Patient
2️⃣ Reliable
3️⃣ Energized
4️⃣ Organized
5️⃣ Creative
ECE is a critical phase in child development, and research indicates that children engaged in ECE programs tend to perform better academically. Beyond academic achievements, one of the most significant advantages of early childhood education is instilling a love for learning. These formative experiences inspire children to seek knowledge and cultivate a lifelong passion for learning.
An integral aspect of teaching involves understanding both the student and their family. Feel free to reach out with any questions, concerns, or ideas that can aid in your child's educational journey.
I am genuinely thankful for the opportunity to contribute to the growth of your student.
Looking forward to connecting soon,
Ms. Carrie
