Teacher expertise and credentials
Florida Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education
Hello and welcome to my profile! I’m a work-at-home mom to an 8-year-old girl and a 4-year-old boy. I love reading, teaching, and learning about new thing. I think being a teacher is ABSOLUTELY wonderful!
I have a dual B.A. degree in Elementary Education and Hearing impairment from Flagler College. I have worked with all ages and abilities from mild hearing loss, profoundly deaf, multiple disabilities, and as of right now I’m a private tutor for a homeschool family that has Autism Spectrum Disorder. I create and implement lessons to accommodate their learning needs.
In the past 10 years of having my degree I have worked with children as young as 3 to as old as 22 in all academic fields. I really enjoy coming up and creating new and creative ways to teach, and one of my favorite styles is to learn songs and poems to help remember the lesson.
As I mentioned before, I am currently working as a private tutor for a homeschool family, and I even have had 4 years’ experience with working for and online teaching platform “VIPKID”. Before now, I have worked as an Elementary Teacher teaching all the subjects from Math, Reading, Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science. I created my own lessons, and implemented them in a full classroom setting. With my multiple experiences I look forward to creating a great school and learning environment for your children.
