Do you want to learn some basic baking skills, and also celebrate Christmas? In this class, students will engage in interactive, edible Christmas activities! Students will interact with peers, have fun talking about Holiday traditions in their family, and of course we can't forget to taste the batter! We'll end up with a tasty treat for everyone - 3 dozen Christmas Cookies! Materials: -cookie sheets (2-3) and spray or butter (for the tray) -mixing bowl and fork (or hand mixer for more experienced bakers) -1 cup brown sugar -1 cup of sugar -1/2 cup butter (microwave access to melt in a bowl) -1/2 cup oil -2 eggs -1 tsp baking soda -1 tsp vanilla -3 cups of flour -1/2 cup of red/green sprinkles -1 cup red/green m&ms I am an interactive teacher, so although I may have a plan, if students need a little extra support or we need to adapt, I am more than happy to do so!

My name is Ms. Elise, and I am a preschool-adult educator who believes in serving the needs of every individual. I have been a professional teacher for 7 years, but was teaching informally long before then. My areas of expertise revolve around 🎧music, 🎭 the arts, 💻technology, 🍪 food, and special education. I love learning so much that I'm currently working towards a third Master's Degree in the educational field, and in my spare time, I have musical experiences that have brought me to Carnegie Hall, the Beacon Theater & Playstation Theater on Broadway, and to the Auditorium Theater in Chicago!
