Can you ask the correct questions to guess the Christmas characters? What clues have already been revealed? Which yes/no question do you need to ask next for more information? Once the learners have introduced themselves and the game has been demonstrated, we will begin. The teacher will begin by choosing a Christmas character. Learners can then ask questions to try and identify which character the teacher is thinking of. The answers to your questions can only be 'yes' or 'no'. Once the teacher's Christmas character has been guessed, then one of the learners may be given a Christmas character if they wish and they will have the opportunity to answer the questions instead. If we run out of prepared Christmas characters then we will switch to guessing animals. The Christmas characters selected are focused on the secular and not religious celebration of Christmas, all learners are welcome to come and join in, regardless if they celebrate Christmas.

Hello everyone, my name is Angela Foster. I love working with children, and I enjoy planning and teaching classes that will fully engage them in their learning.
I have a UK PGCE teaching certificate in Primary Education and a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering. I was a classroom teacher for over 10 years, mainly in the UK, but I have also taught in Nepal and Cambodia. Most of my classroom experience has teaching children aged 3 - 11 years. I recently left classroom teaching and I have been working teaching and tutoring online for the past 6 months. I have also worked in summer camps in the UK, France, USA and Canada. I have led sessions in crafts, sport, LEGO, science, cookery, invention and bush craft.
I love logic and puzzles, I am a big fan of mystery parties and escape rooms. I find that puzzles are a great way to engage children in their learning. I also enjoy baking, I love helping learners to explore new techniques, ingredients and recipes. I enjoy teaching phonics and writing, I love the creative process and have even written some mystery games of my own.
I like reading and watching fantasy and science-fiction - Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Pokémon and many more. I like learning about wizards, witches, mermaids, unicorns, dragons, other fantastic beasts and their adventures.
