When was Santa Claus born? Where does he live? What does it mean to have "cheeks like roses"? This Santa Claus directed drawing is filled with Fun Facts, Silly Jokes and Engaging Conversations Class begins by being presented with photos and/or facts about Santa. No prior class or knowledge is necessary for this session. I use two cameras (one overhead and one forward facing) to provide a live directed drawing. Students will use and identify colors and shapes. Students will be encouraged to add creative elements to their background. Students will be gently encouraged to show their final drawing to one another, however sharing is never required. Students will be encouraged to upload photos of their artwork each week to the classroom page, however, this is not required. We will have an ART-tastic time discussing the qualities of each other's artwork, finding the differences and beauty in unique details. Students will be encouraged to practice their drawing skills and will have time, at the start of each class, to show their progress. I encourage group conversation by asking questions to each student, however, am understanding of students who prefer to draw quietly. I strive to make sure each student feels included, comfortable and happy during my classes.
