Let's celebrate the holiday season as we learn some historic holiday traditions around the world!
Class experience
The season is upon us, and many countries have their own special ways of celebrating! Join me as we follow various "flying reindeer" around the world, exploring different traditions and festivities! We will explore several countries including: Australia Italy Germany Brazil South Africa Philippines France and of course... the USA! Students will be asked to write two paragraphs after class, describing their favorite tradition in their home, along with at least one international tradition or...
I love Christmas traditions! My house is decorated immediately after Thanksgiving, and sometimes I take way too long to put all of my decorations away! ;) My hope is that my students get excited about these wonderful traditions which make the holiday season so much more special than the rest of the year.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Parents should be aware that this class covers the traditional meals in each country - - which includes mainly meat dishes. Tofurkey is mentioned, but vegan families who are offended by meat should not take this class. This is not a religious class per se, but Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus are mentioned in some of the traditions described. Families who don't celebrate Christmas or are offended by the thought of Christianity should avoid this class. Santa Claus is mentioned often during this class, as he is a topic of discussion in most of the countries that are covered. Those who don't believe in Santa Claus might want to avoid this class... ;)
