Christmas is closer than you think! It is a short burst course that will build upon writing skills enabling children to create good quality writing about topics they are passionate about while learning the features of an adventure story.

Description
Class Experience
To be able to increase vocabulary To be able to talk with the intention of writing To be able to gain skills that help to write. To be able to extend length of writing but with purpose. To be able to explore the features of an adventure story.
I have been teaching Year 6 and SATs for over ten years. I am an experienced classroom primary / elementary school teacher and head of year. I have taught in London, North Africa and the Middle East and am now based in the U.S. With many years of experience and enjoy helping children progress in their academic journey. I pride myself on ensuring that the materials are educational and engaging and that children leave the lesson knowing more than they started. Progressing and moving forward with confidence. I have also completed many training courses to help children become better writers, readers, speakers and mathematicians. I am looking forward to you joining me!
Learners will complete part of a weekly story pack - building to a whole story. Activities and tasks will be posted to the classroom.
Learners will need: - Writing tools (pen, paper etc) - Color pencils and paper - or art supplies for any illustration tasks - The ability to annotate and write on Zoom - The ability to mute and unmute themselves.
I will be feeding back to parents.
No live meetings, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
