This class will focus on improvisation, and learning how to create choreography to different songs, featuring ballet, hip hop, and jazz styles.

What will be taught? Improvisation will be taught to create a routine, What topics will you cover? Improvisation, different methods when creating routines, how to add transitions into the routines, movement, energy, and spacial awareness terminology and more. 9/8: Hip Hop Improv. - ways to create: use music and keep dancing. or come up with a series than put music on- Songs: Wheels on Buss Remix and Technologic 9/15: Lyrical Improv- Different types of spacial awareness- Song-Stone...

Students will be participating in a physical fitness/movement activities though out the class. Please be aware that your child can end up injuring themselves. Therefore please make sure your child has sufficient dance space, proper foot ware (choice of ballet shoes, barefoot, Jazz shoes, tap shoes, and/or sneakers). In addition, I encourage all students to have a water bottle near by and is warmed up before class to avoid injury’s. Parental supervision is strongly encourage to help your dancer assure their safety and spacial awareness.
I have been teaching dance for the past 6 years. And in the past summers I managed, directed, and choreographed an annual Dance Camp for ages 3-11. In addition, I have a BA in Psychology, and minors in Dance and Early Childhood Education (P-3). Pursing masters in School counseling

CLI studios. This is a studio partnership program, where we will have opportunity to listen and observe other dancers and how they create choreography.
