Description
Class Experience
Students will be able to learn about the science of chocolate as they make various chocolate items to enjoy.
I am offering this class as we had so much fun with chocolate science, I think a summer camp would be fun!
Students will receive one assignment and a reading comprehension activity per class, as well as a related bridge activity they can complete on their own!
Teacher will provide notes and power point and recipes for students!
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Learner progress is assessed through informal assessment and completion of assignments and participation in discussion in the class and classroom forum.
2 hours 45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
This class is suitable for all ages and stages, however it is helpful to have the ability to use the microwave to heat chocolate!
We will use various websites, books and some other materials to reinforce concepts, including recipes and readings tailored to student interest and experiences.
