Description
Class Experience
We will go to an actual chocolate farm in Colombia, South America. We discuss how chocolate is grown, brewed, distributed, and why it is so popular to begin with! In this 45 minute course, we will periodically have quiz questions (just for fun) to reaffirm the knowledge we have gained. Garrett Young is having a brief stay in Colombia! This class is taught in English.
Student should leave with beginner level knowledge for the following: -How (and in what climate) chocolate is grown -Why(s) chocolate is so popular -How chocolate is prepared in the most traditional methods
No homework. Students are encouraged to continue research on chocolate and Colombia.
No Assessment. Intended for enrichment of student knowledge only.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
