In this 4-week flex class, students will learn how to make four dessert recipes with chocolate with video classes. The young chefs will have a great time learning how to make crepes, brownies, fudges, and ice cream sandwiches. Every Friday one video and the list of ingredients are released, and learners can watch and make the recipes at their own time. I will teach them all the tips, techniques, and secrets of my recipes. Learners will become masters in these recipes and proud young chefs....
Students will gain confidence in the kitchen by learning delicious recipes and developing their cooking and baking skills. They will also learn how to measure ingredients and put them in order of usage, mix, and bake them in a very hands-on way.
These are the list of ingredients for all classes. Week 1 SWEET CREPES FILLED WITH FUDGY CHOCOLATE FILLING AND STRAWBERRIES By Daniel Mandu Ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 1/2 Tbsp sugar 2 whole eggs + 1 Egg yolk 1 Tbsp vegetable oil 1 cup milk 1 cup fresh strawberries 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk Equipment and Utensils: Stove Large bowl Medium bowl Whisk Plastic spatulas Flat non-stick pan or griddle Measurement cups and spoons Strainer Cutting board Chef’s knife Small bowls for ingredients Small pot Silicone spatula -------------------------- Week 2 ICE CREAM SANDWICHES WITH HOMEMADE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES By Daniel Mandu Ingredients: 1 cup All Purpose flour 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 8 Tbsp softened butter 1/3 cup granulated sugar 1/3 cup light brown sugar 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 egg 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 pint ice cream (the one you like the most) Equipment and Utensils: Oven Baking sheet pan Parchment paper Small scoop (#30 as a reference) Large bowl Medium bowl Whisk Silicone spatula Measuring cups and spoons -------------------------- Week 3 CRAGGY-TOPPED BROWNIES By Daniel Mandu Ingredients: 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1/4 cup light brown sugar 6 Tbsp unsalted butter 2 eggs 1 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 1/4 tsp baking soda 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (divided into two bowls) Equipment and Utensils: Oven Stove Medium pot Rubber spatula Electric mixer (optional) 8x8in or 9x9in pan Parchment paper Whisk Large bowl Medium bowl ______________ Week 4 WHITE CHOCOLATE BIRTHDAY CAKE FUDGE By Daniel Mandu Ingredients: Fudge: 2 cups white chocolate chips 2 Tbsp unsalted butter 1/4 tsp sea salt 1 cup sweetened condensed milk 1 tsp vanilla extract Birthday cake crumbs: 2 1/2 Tbsp unsalted butter, softened 1/3 cup granulated sugar 1 Tbsp light brown sugar, firmly packed 1 tsp vanilla extract 2/3 cup cake flour 1/8 tsp baking powder 1/8 tsp salt 1 1/2 Tbsp rainbow sprinkles Equipment and Utensils: Oven Stove Parchment paper Medium pot 8x8in or loaf pan Medium bowl Whisk Rubber spatula Measuring cups and spoons Baking sheet pan

This class requires the use of equipment and utensils such as a stove, oven, knives, blender, mixers, and others. Most of the recipes ask for cutting, boiling, frying, baking products, and other hazardous tasks that can lead to cuts, burns, and other kinds of injuries during their preparation. In the videos, I will be teaching the safety of operating equipment and using utensils, but parental supervision and help during these tasks are required at all times. The recipes call for many ingredients, so please, check them for any food restrictions and/or potential allergens for your children. Each week I will be posting the supply list for the next class.
