Students will have a hard copy of the recipe for reference, available to print upon enrollment.

Ingredients students will need:
2 1⁄2 cups all-purpose flour 
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1⁄4 tsp. salt
1⁄2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature 1 cup granulated sugar
1 tbsp. vanilla extract
2 eggs
1⁄4 cup sour cream
3⁄4 cup buttermilk
1 1⁄2 cups mini chocolate chips

Other supplies students will need:
12-cavity muffin tin
12 muffin liners
mixing bowls, whisk and spatula
hand mixer or stand mixer with paddle attachment 
measuring cups and spoons

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools. The recipe PDF will be posted in the classroom discussion.

Students will need to use the oven during this class. An adult may want to ensure they preheat the oven correctly, help the student put the muffin tin in the oven and change the oven temperature 5 minutes after the muffins have been in the oven. After class, students may need assistance from an adult to remove the muffin tin from the oven. Please read the list of ingredients to make sure the student is not allergic.
