In this one time class, students will learn the Folk Tale of how the 12 Chinese Zodiac animals were chosen in the Great Race using Pokémon! We'll also learn some fun facts about Chinese New Year and Chinese words/characters.

Class Experience
Students will learn some basic information about Chinese culture.
Not only did I grow up celebrating Chinese New Year, I also grew up playing Pokémon and am still very much a fan! I have a basic knowledge in Mandarin and have achieved a HSK2. 'The Great Race' was always one of my favorite stories when I was younger, so why not combine my love for Chinese culture and Pokémon!
- Pen + paper - Students are encouraged to wear something red to class
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
