In this one-time class, learners will make a tiger corner bookmark while learning some fun facts about Chinese New Year as well as some words, sayings and greetings. Bonus: learners will also learn a song!

Does your learner love to read? Do you wish your learner would read more? Let's make a cute corner bookmark to encourage reading while celebrating the year of the tiger! No prior experience is necessary. I will demonstrate every step of the way how to make this craft, and will answer any questions learners may have. Class is scheduled for fifty minutes, but I may go a little over on time, if necessary, depending on class size and learners' ability. Thank you for understanding. A list of supplies is listed below. I would hate for your learner to fall behind, get frustrated - or, worse, not be able to complete this craft due to missing supplies. Therefore, please make sure he/she/they will have everything ready prior to class. Thank you for your cooperation to ensure class will run smoothly and will end on time.

We will need the following supplies: Pencil with eraser Black Sharpie or black marker Glue stick Googly eyes (optional) 3 - Sheets of orange origami paper (orange printer/copy paper workable); please precut into 5 in. x 5 in. square sheets Note: extra supplies are listed just in case your learner would like a start-over or has time to make more.
