This is the fourth of our Chinese Mandarin Reading and Writing series. This class is for learners who have completed "Fun with Chinese: Level 1A to 1E", "Fun with Chinese: Level 2A to 2E" and "Fun with Chinese: Level 3A to 3E". We will continuously review prior knowledge and build on it. In this level we will begin learning how to read and write traditional characters based on the HSK Level 1 standard. Please note that each class we will focus on new characters with the goal of learning 30 characters by the end of Level 1D.
Learners are expected to do a presentation on the last day of class. This presentation is a way to assess the learner's knowledge and how much they have retained. These classes are meant to present Mandarin Chinese in a simple and fun manner where children can build their confidence in learning the language. I look forward to working with your children.

We will be using Nearpod as slides during our class. It would be best if kids have 2 devices during class. One device is for the Zoom call and the other is for the Nearpod slides which will include games. You do not need to create a Nearpod account. The code will be shared during class. I will share screen so everyone can follow along on the lesson, but if there is a game, you can participate if you have Nearpod on your device.

Please note that each class is recorded and I do encourage parents to go over the videos with their learners to review the new phrases, vocabulary and characters. Also, please note that I do not offer make up classes or refunds for missed classes that is not due to the teacher missing the class.
