Class Experience
We will learn to make delicious Chinese Dim Sum - Siu Mai /Shao Mai 烧卖. The students will follow me step by step to make this Dim Sum together. In this class, we will learn how to clean and prepare the ingredients, Marinating the ground pork, shrimp, and sticky rice using different ingredients. In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
In this class, we will use a knife. cutting board, stove while cooking with parental guidance. The ingredients include sticky rice. Chinese cooking wine, light and dark sauce, shrimp, and ground pork. For learners with food allergies and food sensitivities, please read the ingredient carefully. If you are allergic to any of the ingredients you can just skip that and use other ingredients instead. We will use resources from Youtube in a screen share. You no need to have a youtube account. We will also use google Slides in a screen share to show the learner the progress of making Siu Mai.
