Learners will discover and understand Chinese culture through its lens into daily life, the foods they prepare, forms of entertainment, cultural items, spoken language, traditions, and more. There will also be an opportunity for discussions where questions can be asked and answered. Participants are also free to inquire, share a thought, or even share an online object as long as it is associated with Chinese culture. Learners will have a better understanding of Chinese culture.
My experience comes form having travel to China and Hong Kong during my younger days and having spent a month staying in the country. On a personal side, I am part Chinese from my father's side of the family, whose roots are from Hong Kong. I was raised with some family members that are ethnically Chinese. Growing up in a family with member of that culture, I learned not only the language but also culture and daily life.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
