Description
Class Experience
This course is created for Chinese heritage learners or students who have had a substantial exposure to the Chinese language. We focus on Character recognition in preparation for independent reading. In each class we read a storybook, learn some characters from the book. Stroke names and stroke sequence will be introduced. I integrate singing and interactive games into each class to enhance participation. Each learner will have equal opportunity to interact with the teacher and peers. I...
This class is taught in Mandarin Chinese.
Homework will be assigned after each class, students will have work to do every week day for approximately 20 minutes. Homework is to be completed individually or as a group, preview of the following lesson is strongly encouraged.
Textbook and practice book, pencils, white paper with writing grid (田字格), or whiteboard and marker.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
