What's included
1 live meeting
25 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
Each themed class will include yoga poses designed for children, games, songs, and a story, ending with a meditation related to the theme. A sample Children's Yoga Story Time will focus on the book "Is There Really a Human Race", by Jamie Lee Curtis and Laura Cornell. As the theme is cooperation and embracing differences, we will focus on yoga poses, games, and meditation that relate to those themes. No prior experience with yoga is necessary. Children will have the opportunity to interact through games.
Learning Goals
Yoga provides physical benefits of strength and flexibility and improves gross and fine motor skills. Yoga can increase confidence and creativity and reduce stress and anxiety. Children will be able to use what they learn in class in their lives. In addition, the story and songs will increase literacy skills.
