Teacher expertise and credentials
Aloha! Welcome to my virtual learning classroom! I have a passion for teaching and I am so excited to have your young adventurer in my class. My classes are created for adventurers ages 3-6. I offer a variety of classes in reading, math, science, and social studies. We will go on many adventures together to explore the alphabet, numbers, colors, animals, different states and countries, and much more! To keep learning fun and engaging art, music, and movement play an important role in my classes.
I’ve been working in the education field for over seven years now. I have experience working with children in the general and special education setting in preschool, elementary, and high school. I worked as a teacher's aide, part-time teacher, after school care group leader, paraprofessional tutor, and substitute educational assistant. I currently teach preschool special education at an elementary school. I earned my Associate in Arts in Teaching Degree. I am currently pursuing my Bachelors of Science Degree in Special Education in PK-3.
I have a passion for working with children. I believe teachers play a vital role in a child’s life in preparing them to become successful community contributors to society. Great teachers fill their classrooms with positivity by creating various opportunities for students to learn and grow, pushing them beyond their potential to succeed and achieve their goals. They take the time to get to know their students and parents to form connections and to develop positive relationships with them. In addition, they remain open-minded and optimistic about new ideas. All it takes is that one great teacher to make a difference in their lives. It will be that teacher who will make an everlasting impact on their lives, and whom fortunate students will remember forever. This is the goal that as an educator, I would like to instill in those students I have taught and those future students I will be teaching. I look forward to meeting your adventurer soon!
