At the end of this class, the you will be able to describe the four functions of behavior, and identify some strategies that you can use to prevent problem behavior and help children meet their needs in a more positive way.
Hello and welcome! This class will be taught by two highly qualified individuals who each have something unique to bring to the table on the topics of babysitting and child behavior. Anna Webber M.Ed BCBA, is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and has a Master's Degree in Education. She has provided behavior-analytic services both in the classroom and in home environments for over 14 years. She is also a Master's level teacher and has taught Special Education for 14 years. She is a mom to two littles. Stacy Vinciguerra has worked in childcare in one way, shape, or form for the past 27 years. She has a Master's Degree in Education, and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. She has nannied for 11 years, and taught Elementary Special Education for 11 years. She is the mom of a college freshman. We can't wait to share our love of caring for children and promoting child development with you in this babysitting course. See you there!

The curriculum is based on the science of human behavior. The book, Applied Behavior Analysis by Cooper, Heron, and Heward is cited twice, but not required for the class.
