Are you interested in animal behavior and training? I'm a huge chicken fan and have been successfully keeping multiple flocks for over 8 years, including two rooster bachelor flocks. In this class, students will see the world through a chicken's eyes as we break down behavior. We will discuss what to do and what not to do when interacting with chickens. We will visit ways we can correct undesirable behavior within our flocks, how to build and maintain positive relationships with all of our chickens, and have fun doing so! Slides will be shown as we break down how to respond to and train poultry, including roosters, and see fun ideas to keep them happy and occupied. This is a great class for all chicken keepers, but especially for those hesitant on keeping or getting a rooster, or for those who have a rooster they'd like to get along with but aren't able to currently. Students will be encouraged to ask any questions they have about flock dynamics and behavior.
