Description

Class Experience

Students will learn how to identify each letter, its sound and sort letters in sequential order.
I have a Master’s degree in Literacy and I’ve been teaching phonics and reading for ten years.
Encourage your child to identify and sound out each letter to aid their letter/sound retention skills.
 1 file available upon enrollment
Kindly note that NO file is needed for this class. The attached file is merely a welcome picture. Parents, use any materials you have available to you for the follow items:- ✔️ Cutout a few green palm tree leaves and glue it or staple it on the top of the tree (toilet or paper towel roll) to have it ready for the activity. ✔️ Stickers: Capital or Lowercase letters a to z ***Don't have the supplies? No problem! Pick one option from these alternatives.*** • Write out the letters on a piece of paper. (That way, your child can point to them.) OR • Write out letters and cut them out. (That way, your child can find them and show it.) OR • Bring an alphabet book so your child can show them. These classes are recommended after this one as it's part of this collection:- A-Z in depth, sight words and show and tell https://outschool.com/classes/from-a-to-z-come-read-with-me-*prereading*-prek-kindergarten-group-multisensory-winter-and-spring-semester-phonics-course-with-alphabet-yoga-XbiSVOCF#usMmuMGeNU Beginning readers blending sounds to read with show and tell sight words https://outschool.com/classes/level-1-beginners-reading-a-multi-sensory-kindergarten-foundation-phonics-class-XIrOs65Z#usMmuMGeNU
The teacher will ask comprehension questions to check for understanding and use the craft activity as a form of assessment.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Assist your child if needed with the craft activity. (peeling the sticker)
