Class Experience

Students will improve their understanding of uppercase and lowercase letters in the alphabet through the use of visual props, expressed sound, and a hands on activity to help encourage letter recognition, sound, vocabulary and comprehension.
 1 file available upon enrollment
Materials Needed: File attachment Round color coding stickers (can be purchased at Target $1.29 or any other store of your choice) Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Sensory Craft: 1 Sensory bottle (pre-filled with water $1.99 Michael's) ABC Letter Beads ($1.99 -$5.99 Michael's) Glitter ($2.99) Any other items in addition to what's listed Please make sure that you remember to download all files needed to complete this class and purchase all materials needed and remember to label the round stickers with both uppercase and lowercase letters. For our special craft activity your learner will need bead letters A-Z along with any extra bead letters for their name You may also choose to purchase labeled alphabet stickers for the letter matching activity to make the learning activity more fun for your learner, but it is not recommended. Most of the items needed you may already have around your home or can be purchased at Michael's, Jo-Ann's, Target, Walmart or the Dollar Tree. Prices listed above are items that I purchased from Michael's or Target. Your learner is also welcome to add anything in addition to what is needed to purchase for their sensory bottle to make their learning experience fun. Also as mentioned, the sensory bottle will need to be glued by an adult using a hot glue gun after it is completed to avoid water leakage.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
A hot glue gun will be needed to seal the sensory bottle once the craft is completed to avoid water leakage. Some of the materials used may pose a choking hazard. Please remind your learner that these items are not for eating.
