Overview: We will be teaching strategies and tactics to improve your children's openings, middle game and endgame. We will cover piece development, controlling the center, king safety and much more. The class will be a 45 minute class. Students will get to answer questions and solve chess puzzles together and play each other on chess.com towards the end of class so they can apply what they just learned. I will be teaching the class using a digital chess board that students can see via zoom. Required: Learners only need to be familiar with how the pieces move and should have a chess.com account created before class. It is free to create, and takes less then 10 minutes to set up with their parent/parental guardian.
Learning Goals
Students will learn about king safety, proper piece development, controlling the center, how to activate their pieces and much more.
This will help students to feel more confident playing chess and increase their ability to win.

Parental Guidance
Learners should have a chess.com account created before class. It is safe, free to create, and takes less then 10 minutes to set up with their parent/parental guardian.
Supply List
1) Create a free account for your children on Chess.com 2) A physical chess board is recommended but not mandatory for our class. Most of our class interaction will be digital.
