Description

Class Experience

In this 6-week course students will learn how to notate a full game of chess and learn all of the chess tactics. The way I have it set up is to primarily teach verbal notation, which students who have taken other classes with me have already had an introduction to. We will continue to develop verbal notation through weekly tactics worksheets that I share on my screen for the lesson. Students will not need to download the worksheets or work them out by themselves, rather we work them out...

Students will notate a full game of chess and learn all of the chess tactics.

Pencil and paper. You are welcome to download a free chess score sheet from the internet, but a regular lined sheet of paper will do.

1 hour 40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
