Class Experience

*It is a requirement that learners know at least the basics of Chess and how the pieces move*

*Chess will be played on 'Chess.com'. It is required that learners sign up (it is free) before they attend the class. I will provide a link to the sign up page in the classroom page. Learners will then join my Chess Club on Chess.com which I will provide the link for during the meeting. After learning the new opening, learners will play games in a Chess Arena!*

Welcome to the ongoing class of Chess openings!

The purpose of this on-going class is to create a friendly social environment whereby learners can learn a new chess opening every week to add to their current repertoire of openings. During each week, we will go over a new chess opening for either white or black. We will look at different variations and lines within the opening to best understanding how to respond to certain moves made by the opponent. Once every learner feels comfortable with the general idea of the new opening, they will join the chess arena whereby they will be automatically pitted against random players in the class to play against. They will play games using the new opening and compete in trying to get 1st place in the chess arena.

Please message me if you have any concerns or questions!
Learning Goals
