While no direct parental involvement is required during class, we recommend that parents assist their child with the following: ✅ Setting Up a Free Chess Account – We will be using Chess.com or Lichess.org, both of which are free and kid-friendly platforms. Parents may need to help their child create an account before the first session. ✅ Technology Support – Ensuring that students have access to a stable internet connection, a computer or tablet, and are comfortable navigating Zoom and the chess platform. ✅ Encouraging Practice – Students will benefit from playing additional games and solving chess puzzles outside of class to reinforce what they’ve learned. ✅ Online Safety – While both platforms have built-in safety features, we encourage parents to review privacy settings and monitor their child’s interactions to ensure a positive and safe gaming experience.
