***Please note that this course is for learners who have completed my Intermediate course Part 1 OR learners who believe they know all of the Intermediate Part 1 knowledge of chess. Furthermore, you MUST be able to defeat the level 1300 chess engine/bot on Chess.com***

Welcome to my Chess Intermediate Course - Part 2!

This comprehensive 6-lesson course is designed for upper intermediates ready to advance beyond the lower intermediate level. Each lesson delves into critical aspects calculating positions, studying each category such as: material, space, squares, piece activity and king safety. And understanding why calculating positions is imperative to improving your overall chess game. Furthermore, this course is perfect for players who have grasped the chess tactics and are looking to enhance their competitive edge. My teaching approach for this intermediate course involves using chess.com to provide a visual learning experience, through setting up different positions for learners to complete. In addition, it will involve with me explaining each category, their definitions and how to use them in a game of chess! This class is 6 lessons long and will average around 20 minutes per class, potentially longer. Since there is no live-meetings in this course, I will be prepared to offer feedback as consistently as possible, within 24 to 48 hours. 6 Lessons
over 6 Weeks
Lesson 1:
Introducing the 5 Categories to Calculate a Position.
 Introducing the 5 categories to calculating any chess position which includes the following: Material, Space, Squares, Piece Activity and King Safety 
Lesson 2:
Practising Material and Space Calculations
 The first two categories will be studied to allow learners to feel confident in understanding how to calculate material and space 
Lesson 3:
Practising Squares Calculations
 The third category will be studied to allow learners to feel confident in understanding how to calculate squares 
Lesson 4:
Practising Piece Activity Calculations
 The fourth category will be studied to allow learners to feel confident in understanding how to calculate piece activity
