Class Experience
Mr. Rafael is originally from Brazil and currently lives in the U.S. He is a Psychology and Organizational Behavior graduate of the Washington University in St. Louis with a focus on Education and Memory Recall. He has tutored students ages 6-14 in many subjects, including Math, Chess, and Coding. He uses a Facilitator teaching style, focusing on student engagement and activities for the students. He is an avid Chess player ranking in the 97.5% percentile and former child tournament winner.
We recommend students spend at least 1 hour a week practicing puzzles or playing games. Practice between classes is what will help each student improve at Chess and maintain an interest in the game. You can create a ChessKid.com account at home for practice and for personal use.
