#superstar Please Note: THIS IS NOT A CHESS CLASS! IT IS A CLUB TO IMPROVE YOUR CHESS SKILLS. In this ongoing Chess club, students will have the opportunity to exchange chess strategies, complete puzzles and compete in chess tournaments in a private club with other chess fanatics. It seems as though you can't just play one game of chess. Once you play the first game you're hooked. You can't stop there you continue to play game after game with anyone that will play with you rather it be a computer or yourself and if you're not playing you daydream of different strategies to win the next time you do get the opportunity to play. The only problem, is there are not enough people around you that love to play as much as you do. If this sounds anything like you or your child you're in the correct place. The goal of this club is to allow chess players the opportunity to share their strategies, complete puzzles together and compete in chess tournaments with each other. Each week we will begin class by sharing anything chess related with one another, including strategies, new chess sets, etc. We will then move on to deciding as a class if we will move into completing a couple of puzzles or begin the tournament right away. Please note that this club is for all different playing levels but I am happy to share the basic rules of chess if your child is new to the game. Below is what is to be expected each week in class. March 27-31st: Sharing, puzzles, tournament April 13-17th: Sharing, puzzles, tournament April 20-25th: Sharing, puzzles, tournament April 27-31st: Sharing, puzzles, tournament

Hello, my name is Jacki, and I am thrilled that you have chosen me to be a part of your child's educational journey.
I have been a homeschooling mom for more than a decade and have taught other children, formally, in a classroom setting as well. I love to work with elementary-aged students in all subjects, including English, Science, Math, and History.
I have a passion for teaching! I believe that children learn best in a fun and entertaining environment, which is why you will often find me singing, dancing, and making a "fool" of myself.
I believe that every child is intelligent, it's my job, as a teacher, to bring that quality out into the open for everyone to see.
"Everybody is a genius. but if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid."
-Albert Einstien
In my spare time, you will find me traveling the world with my family. We have been to 48 U.S states and plan to travel abroad soon. I'm always up for an adventure.
